More Christmas!

Everyone enjoyed Christmas in Louisville! Especially Brock whose gifts had our car completely packed for the way home. It took a couple of weeks before he stopped asking for presents on a daily basis.

Family Christmas 2010

Brock had about five Christmas celebrations this year. Since we went to Louisville for the holidays, we had our family Christmas the weekend before the actual event. Luckily, Santa was also on board and brought toys to Brock at his house. The train set was the biggest hit!

Finally I made a choice between these two. It was hard to pick! I used them for my portriat assignment in photography class. Pretty good considering he would not sit still!

Brock turns 2!

Time sure does fly! It seems like we were doing this last week for his first birthday! Much like his first birthday, Brock had lots of fun with friends and family. This year he understood a little bit more and loved opening the presents and getting everyone to sing happy birthday. In fact, he still requests that we sing it to him. Pretty much every day around here is like his birthday so why not. He got lots of great lego and play-doh gifts and a brand new train set that he can't stop playing with! He'll surely be a conductor.

Halloween 2009

Brock was the UPS man for Halloween. What could be better? He loves trucks and the delivery people. It was also a great way to pay tribute the the UPS man who keeps our house stocked with goodies.

Galena!

The Bentleys took their first mini vacation to Galena with the Reppenhagens. Brock and Grace are good friends so they enjoyed spending the weekend together. We rented a house about 5 miles outside of downtown and visited downtown and played outside. Brock had a hard time leaving. We hope to go back sometime soon!

Potty

No Brock is not toilet trained. We are just introducing the potty and letting him have a look. He likes to sit on it and look at books. Where on earth did he learn that?

Zoo!

We have spent LOTS of days at the zoo this summer. The best ones are spent with friends. Fortunately, Brock is starting to notice the animals and not just the wheels on the popcorn cart.

Brian's Birthday

Brian started off his big day by getting Brock out of bed for the morning. As you can see, Brock is very festive with his firetruck pjs.

6th Anniversary

We celebrated our 6th Anniversary this year. Notice how decked out we were for our big night in. We were able to celebrate earlier in the week with a babysitter and a night out.

Water Table

The new Water Table (Brock's 1/2 Birthday Gift) has been the absolute hit of the summer! It is all he wants to do! Since it is on the deck we just fill it with water (no sand) and let him pour it from bucket to bucket. We will miss this warm weather!

Father's Day and Vegas

Brock and Brian had a great Father's Day following a mini vacation to Vegas. Cici came to stay with Brock while we flew out for a few days. It was a good arrangement for all involved!

Millennium Park

Brock made his second trip of the season to Millennium Park with his mom and Cici. He loved the fountian and running around the bean. This time we made sure to take a change of clothes so we didn't have to ride home with wet pants.

Mother's Day 2009

Brock and his mom spent some quality time together in both Louisville and Chicago. Besides the flight between the two cities, it was a great day!

Easter 2009

The Easter Bunny had so many gifts for Brock that he had to bring a table instead of a basket. And instead of eggs, he brought wiffle balls. It was a toddler's dream!

Haircut-Before and After

Brock was ready for another haircut. You can see the dramatic before and after results. Unfortunately, he isn't a big fan of haircuts.

Sitting at the Bar

Brock had his first snack while sitting at the bar in his booster seat. He seemed to enjoy the change of scenery.

Trying out a new lens

I got a new lens for Christmas so I tried it out with Brock. If he would only sit still!

Brock and Boone

Brock and Boone had a great playdate, just like their moms, they were fast friends. Boone's visit was quite eventful since the electricity went out in the middle of their naps. Luckily, they both slept and finally the power came back on. We are looking forward to more fun with Boone and Sam!

Brock's First Visit to the Conservatory!

Because it is getting cold and we can't spend as much time outside, we have been doing some fun indoor things with Brock. It is especially nice now that he is walking so he can explore by himself. We went to the Garfield Park Conservatory and Brock seemed to really enjoy it! He played with some gardening tools and walked around the whole thing. He liked looking at the fish and the waterfalls.
